Ph.D. in Physics

1. Students will master the fundamental knowledge of physics, including (a) Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Statistical Physics; (b) Electricity, magnetism, and optics; and (c) Quantum mechanics, atomic and nuclear physics.

2. Students will apply physical, mathematical, statistical, and computing skills to a problem in their area of specialization.

3. Students will communicate scientific results in written, oral, and graphical form to experts and the public.

4. Students will become independent learners and researchers.
